Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Of Crisps features the sex-fuelled lives of five late-teens/early twenty-somethings in the northern town of Runcorn. Janet is going out with Jonny, his best friend Gaz has started to date Janet's best friend Donna, and self-centred student Louise just wants a job to keep her in cigarettes. There's also Donna's sarcastic mother, Flo, constantly nagging her daughter to take up a 'proper' relationship with a worthy young man. Storylines followed the on-again/off-again relationships of the young protagonists who have lots of sex and meet in pubs. After the first series the show was initially broadcast on BBC Choice and its successor BBC3. The second series was shown by terrestrial BBC2 from 12 August to 16 September 2002, the third from 7 July to 15 September 2003, the musical special on 10 May 2004 and the fourth series from 17 May to 19 July 2004. The show's title was inspired by the 1980 hit single 'Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps Please' by "Splodgenessabounds".

Customer Rating: Summary: Desperately poor Comment: I can't believe the BBC ever commissioned this. It is badly written, badly acted, predictable, purile, boring. It's so poor it beggars belief. It is the kind of comedy that might appeal to a 10 year old who finds "rude" words funny irrespective of how, when or why they are used.
For the television company that has released more quality comedy than every other network in the English-speaking world put together to release this rubbish is simply shocking.
Garbage... Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome show!:D Comment: Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is my faveorite TV show. It is suitable for teens to twentys. Other perople have been saying young people won't get it or won't find it funny. I am 14 and think it is the best show around. I dunno if they mean younger but, oh well. I think it is deffinatley worth a buy!:D Customer Rating: Summary: Simply hilarious! Comment: This show is sometimes accused of being too simple, someone here said that only dumb people like this, which I think is a big insult to the show and it's viewers.
Not everything has to be deep and difficult to be funny.
The first two episodes or so, I didn't really think it was funny either, I usually watch things that require a bit more thinking, but sometimes you just have to let go, relax and enjoy the ride.
Two Pints of Lager is hilarious from start to end, and hopefully they will continue on for many more years.
Thumbs up! Customer Rating: Summary: Strangling comedy until it turns blue and dies Comment: It's a pity that the BBC licence fee is squandered on programmes as poor as this, 'Two Pints...' is comedy in its most basic form. I'm not saying we should all be watching re-runs of Fawlty Towers every night, there are plenty of great comedies out there. Anyone with an interest in British comedy will hopefully agree that 'Two Pints...' with its gaudy sets, dire dialogue and irritating characters does nothing for BBC or for comedy. Seeing this box-set of 6 series of 'Two Pints...' makes me feel sad for light entertainment, why doesn't 'Two Pints...' migrate to ITV where it belongs, along side 'Rock Rivals', 'Moving Wallpaper' and 'Hardware'. Customer Rating: Summary: Why do the BBC continue with this drivel? Comment: This show is so unbelievably feeble it is incomprehensible that it ever got made and staggering that anyone would buy it on DVD.
