Customer Rating: Summary: Major disappointment Comment: My rubik's cube keyring came in the post this morning, which I was really looking forward to. Having already bought its bigger brother, I thought my cubing skills could be duplicated on this smaller model.
How wrong I was; I was utterly disappointed. I expected the cube to be a little stiff and difficult to twist because it was new, but after playing with it for 15 minutes straight, I found that the plastic would not give way, and to this moment still remains very rigid. Furthermore to my horror, it was only moments before the tiny plastic pieces started popping out. The quality of this item seems very poor, and I would definitely recommend not buying this product.
This item is only good for one thing, and that's sitting on a shelf for others to admire. If you want to buy a cube, buy the official larger one - far superior. Customer Rating: Summary: Rubbish - decorative purpose only! Comment: i bought this for my 10-year-old son. His 6-year-old brother played with it for 10 minutes and it fell apart. Just a couple of turns in possibly not quite the right position and all the bits fell onto the floor. A disappointment in what I had expected to be a fun and robust - being the original brand - stocking filler. Don't waste your money. Get the original larger one instead. The small size is ideal to carry around, though a bit too bulky to be actually used as a keyring, and the keychain gets in the way...I took it off and put it in the metal recycle bin.
After that...great miniature sized cube, easy to fit in a jacket or even trouser pocket. Great to zone out with on long journeys, or as an executive stress toy even...obviously this is once you're actually able to do it - otherwise it most certainly won't REDUCE your stress :D
At this price its the best value. The only reason I took one star off it the keychain - it's unnecessary & just gets in the way. They'd do better to just make the miniature cube & sell it on its own.
