Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: A Steamy little Number Comment: I bought this iron about six months ago and it has worked perfectly since day one. The range of steam settings offers good incremental positions and the no steam setting can be selected with one small movement of the slide.
The shape of the face plate seems to suit my shirt size(16)and I think my shirts have never looked better. I iron my shirts box flat when travelling for business or when I have limited space and a work colleague has now asked me three times if my shirt was new!
The water reservoir is a bit small and does need refilling fairly frequently otherwise I would have given this 5 stars. Customer Rating: Summary: Am I doing something wrong?? Comment: Not really a review as such more a query - I bought this iron earlier this year to replace a previous Philips one. However, whenever I'm ironing, the blue alert lights starts flashing and consequently the iron turns itself off - for no apparent reason. I've tried doing as it says in the instructions, i.e. picking it up or moving it slightly - to no avail. The only thing that works is turning it off at the mains and turning it back on again. Has anyone experienced the same - should it be doing this? I'd be really grateful to hear if anyone else has experienced the same thing. Many thanks. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent purchase... Comment: I love this iron. The steam options are great. The sole plate irons like a dream. The auto shut off is ideal for me as I am usually multi tasking when ironing and with kids around its an essential. This iron is a lot more expensive on the high street. A good buy from Amazon! Customer Rating: Summary: Ironing? No longer a chore! Comment: We decided to invest in a decent iron after our existing one (a much cheaper/ older Phillips model) had pretty much given up the ghost!
We purchased this on offer saving over £30 and I would say in was very much worth the investment!
It heats up quickly, great jets of steam, excellent glide off the ceramic sole plate and it also looks pretty cool! Customer Rating: Summary: Dashing away with the smoothing iron Comment: Having read all the reviews I decided to go for it and likewise I can't believe how good it is, it just glides over the clothes without effort, no leaning on it to get the creases out, so job done in half the time. I bought a DeLonghi iron of similar price a couple of months ago and decided it was rubbish, dripped water everywhere, didn't get hot enough or give off enough steam - so back of the cupboard for that one as an all else fails and on with the new one.
Brilliant!
