This is vintage Connolly. It's always interesting to watch performers at different stages in their career and observe exactly how they have matured and developed...OK, maybe this isn't quite Billy as we know him today, but bear in mind that these shows are over twenty years old, and yet I still roared.
Some of the material may not seem that original, but you have to ask the question "Who did it first?".
The only gripe I have is the ending to the first show...I'm not going to spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but prepare yourself for something Billy has since dropped (possibly with good reason?) - but again, that adds to the importance of these early recordings. If you like Billy this is for you I know his stuff is rude and sometime dirty but it also as funny aas hell if you want a giggle this year Little Britain Series 3 and this DVD are sure to hit your funny bone.
