Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Comment: I agree with the majority of the other reviewers, Patricia Cornwell is now back on track properly since 'The Last Precinct'. The characters are clear, the writing is understandable and for the majority of the time, believable. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to find out what the next installment is like. I hope that Cornwell doesn't move them again, as she has done with her last few novels.
I'd started to think that Patricia Cornwell had lost her edge and flair, but now she is giving Kathy Reichs a good run for her money!
Customer Rating: Summary: What rubbish Comment: The early Scarpetta books were great but her recent novels have been a complete waste of time. The plots and characters are unbelievable and the writing disjointed. I bought this book in the hope that she might have improved, and she has - just a bit - but certainly not enough for me to give her another chance. Customer Rating: Summary: Love it! Comment: When it comes to the Scarpetta series Cornwell never disapoints. Thrilling to the end!
I don't like to write about the plot as it's more exciting for you to find out for yourself, personally I only want to know if it's liked or not. This is loved! Customer Rating: Summary: Just finished it - it's a cracker!!! Comment: I have read all the Scarpetta novels, and this is up there as one of the best, I loved it. I'm not sure you could easily join the series at this stage though - you could, but it would make more sense if you'd read the preceding books.
Great story - if a bit unusual - and the character interaction was well crafted.
Get it! Read it! Customer Rating: Summary: Scarpetta Comment: Finally the author has come to her senses and returned to writing in the manner that made her famous and her books impossible to put down. Though not as good as Body Farm and Point of Origin, it still is a good read. Let's hope the next one will deserve 5 stars.
